May patutsada si Atty. Barry Gutierrez, na dating spokesperson ni dating Vice President Leni Robredo, kay Vice President Sara Duterte hinggil sa ₱125-million confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) noong 2022 na nagastos umano sa loob ng 11 araw.
Matatandaang kinumpirma ni Marikina 2nd District Rep. Stella Quimbo nitong Lunes, Setyembre 25, na nagastos ng OVP ang naturang ₱125 million confidential funds sa loob ng 11 araw, mas maikling panahon kaysa sa naunang naiulat na 19 araw.

“Labing isang araw. Inubos ni VP Sara ang 125 million in 11 days. Walang malinaw na paliwanag kung saan ginastos. Walang resibong pinakita. Walang klarong sagot,” ani Gutierrez sa kaniyang post sa X.
“Saang mundo naging tama ito?” saad pa niya.
Sa panayam naman ng broadcast journalist na si Karen Davila sa kaniyang ANC program na ‘Headstart’ nitong Martes, Setyembre 26, sinabi ni Gutierrez na dapat bigyang-linaw ng bise presidente kung paano nagastos ng OVP ang nasabing ₱125 million confidential funds sa loob ng 11 araw.
“Hopefully the OVP itself, the vice president will speak up, because, afterall, it’s her integrity on the line, it’s her face on the line. So far they have not really stepped up to the plate here to give an explanation,” ani Gutierrez.
“It’s been other people talking – Congresswoman Quimbo, DBM (Department of Budget and Management), the Executive Secretary – but now that there is already a specific question coming from COA, I hope they shed light on this matter because, after all, that’s what we’re interested in. Where our money went, how it was spent and whether it was spent properly,” saad pa niya.
Hinimok din ni Gutierrez ang Kongreso na bisitahin ang kaangkupan ng pagpapahintulot sa ilang ahensya na gumamit ng confidential funds.
