Gustong gawing spokesperson ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang Kapamilya actress na si Ria Atayde.
Sa press briefing noong Biyernes, Mayo 19, sinabi ni MMDA Chairman Don Artes na personal niyang pinili ang aktres at isinumite na rin niya ang aplikasyon nito.
“I personally recruited Ms. Ria Ataye who graciously agreed. I submitted the application, endorsement to Malacañang for Ms. Atayde to be the spokesperson of the MMDA,” saad ni Artes.
Naniniwala rin ang MMDA chairman na magiging great asset si Atayde sa ahensya.
“As qualifications are concerned, she’s a communications graduate from La Salle. I think her work experience is suited for the spokesperson position. And her being a celebrity would be beneficial to the agency as far as information dissemination is concerned,” dagdag pa niya.
Si Ria ay kapatid na babae ng actor-congressman na si Arjo, parehong anak ng batikang aktres na si Sylvia Sanchez at businessman na si Art Atayde.
