Mayroong puwang ang ugnayan sa pagitan ni Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder Joma Sison at kanyang mga tauhan, partikular na ang mga miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA), sinabi kahapon ng Malacañang.
Ito ay matapos mag-post ni Sison, bilang tugon sa hamon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, sa kanyang Facebook account na uuwi lamang siya kung gusto niya at kung kinakailangan.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng Palasyo na ang ginawang ito ni Sison ay nagpapakita lamang na wala na siyang koneksiyon sa NPA at ikinalulungkot na kinakailangan pa siyang suyuin upang umuwi.
“Mr. Sison’s remarks only highlight his apparent disconnect with their men and women on the ground who seem to have deteriorated from ideologues to plain criminals and extortionists,” ayon sa Palasyo.
“It is unfortunate he needs to be coaxed to return to his homeland, while his wounded comrades in the mountains in the Philippines are left dying only for our soldiers to rescue and accord medical care,” dagdag niya.
Sa kanyang Facebook post, sinabi ni Sison na hindi niya kinakailangang patunayan na mayroon siyang kapangyarihan.
“If deemed necessary by the revolutionary movement, I will return to the Philippines to fight the Duterte puppet regime of US imperialism,” aniya.
“At any rate, I choose the battlefield where I fight and the types of battles that I wage. These cannot be dictated by Duterte who hopes vainly that the US and European intelligence would tip him off as soon I leave The Netherlands for the Philippines,” dagdag ni Sison.
Ipinahayag ni Sison na hindi interesado si Duterte na isulong ang usapang pangkapayapaan base sa paraan ng pananalita nito.
“He should sober up and allow his negotiating panel to seriously negotiate with the NDFP negotiating panel and make agreements on social, economic and political reforms that lay the basis of a just and lasting peace for the benefit of the Filipino people,” pahayag ni Sison.
Nitong Huwebes, hinamon ni Pangulong Duterte si Sison na bumalik sa Pilipinas at makipagbakbakan laban na sinimulan nito sa halip na magpakasarap sa Netherlands.
“If you are truly a revolutionary leader, my God, come home and fight here,” hamon ni Duterte kay Sison.
Gayunman, sinabi ng Pangulo na ito ang huling beses na mananawagan siya kay Sison.
“Kaya, hindi na ako magsagot after this. Wala ka rin makuha, magsagot-sagot ka sa kanila, eh,” sambit ni Duterte.
