Handa na ang lahat para sa idaraos na Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships na inihahatid ng Ford sa darating na Agosto 7 sa Cebu.
Halos 3,000 kalahok, sa pangunguna nina defending champion Tim Reed at Caroline Steffen, ang nakatakdang tumugon sa starting gun para sa prestihiyosong karera na magsisimula at magtatapos din sa Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa.
Ito ang unang pagkakataon na ang AsPac tourney ay gaganapin sa labas ng bansang Australia.
“On Aug. 7, we’ll have over 2,900 athletes from 43 countries, marking the biggest triathlon in the history of the Philippines,” ayon kay Wilfred Uytengsu, presidente ng nag- organisang Sunrise Events, Inc.
“We will assemble the largest cast of professional triathletes – over 30, many of whom are world champions competing and preparing not just for the rights to be Asia Pacific champion but also for the world championships in Australia set a few months after the race,” aniya.
Ang event ay suportado rin ng Cobra Energy Drink bilang title sponsor at Ford bilang Presenting Sponsor. Binubuo ang karera ng 1.9K swim, 90K bike, at 21K run at may nakalaan ding pinakamalaking premyong $75,000 at pinakamataas na world ranking point na makakamit sa kasaysayan ng triathlon sa bansa.
