Malacañang, pumalag sa ‘bobotante’

Binatikos ng Malacañang ang anila’y vote-shaming na ginagawa ng ilang grupo na hindi matanggap ang pagkatalo ng mga kandidato nito.

Sinabi ni Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar na mali ang pagtawag sa mga kapwa botante bilang “bobotatne”, at nanawagan sa publiko na iwasan ang “partisan and divisive politics.”

“We find it unfortunate that some quarters who could not accept the crushing defeat of their senatorial candidates would resort to ad hominem arguments, such as vote shaming, to stress their points,” ani Andanar.

“Questioning or putting doubt on the ‘intelligence’ of the Classes D and E voters, derisively referred to as ‘bobotantes’, is simply wrong,” sabi ni Andanar.

Ipinagtanggol din ni Andanar si Ronald dela Rosa mula sa mga kumukuwestiyon sa kakayahan nitong gampanan ang tungkulin bilang senador, makaraang mapabilang ang dating PNP Chief sa mga pambaton ng administrasyon na nasa Magic 12 ng partial at unofficial count ng mga balota.

“Laughing off and casting aspersions on the ability of presumptive Senator Ronald dela Rosa because of a post-election interview is counterproductive,” sabi ni Andanar.

“Let us take the high road, like the commendable appeals made by Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Risa Hontiveros, and rise above partisan and divisive politics,” apela pa niya.
